Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist

Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist works closely with internal and external contacts to manage the collections of vendor rebates and receivables. Position requires interpretation of vendor deals and contracts and subsequent accounting and collections of rebates. The Analyst will work with Merchandising organization and vendors to resolve questions and issues related to accruals and aged balances.  Responsibilities also include various month end close task including SOX and financial review.

What you’ll be doing: 

Enter and maintain vendor program agreements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to negotiated terms.Collect vendor program allowances, prepare quarterly reconciliations, and research/resolve issues during the process.Identify and communicate cushion/risk and ensure monthly collection goals and due dates are met.Use aging reports to manage collections and perform prior-year audits.Coordinate with Accounts Payable to manage check runs and month-end cutoffs, avoiding debit balances.Partner with merchants to streamline communication of vendor program details and assess risk for outstanding balances.

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications: 

Good knowledge of Office 365 Strong written and verbal communication skills Intermediate Microsoft Excel skillsStrong analytical skills, accuracy, and proficiency in basic accounting principles.Able to multitask, prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment.

Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Accounting
