Accounts Receivable Associate

The Role

The Accounts Receivables Associate acts as the liaison between Sales, Customer Service and the Accounting Departments to facilitate Retail customer account reconciliation. Ensures Retail customer accounts are reviewed and reconciled on a weekly basis. Assists with complaint processing to ensure retail customer accounts are free of unresolved issues. 

Process customer credits and rebates and all credit card payments.  Perform cash applications. Process different types of credit memos as: Rebates, intercompany, tech services claims, NTCA vouchers program coupons, CTEF certification coupons, Tech (MTI) Rebates coupons, sponsorship sales, service related complains (SRC), product returns, pricing. Download monthly deductions and problem invoices. Daily collection calls to customers for short pays and past due invoices. Provide documentation to Retail Customers and dispute payment reductions Summarizes details in separate ledger or computer files and transfers data to general ledger Researches discrepancies of financial information and/or documentation for the purpose of ensuring the accuracy and adhering to established procedures prior to processing. Verifies post and reconciles details of business transactions to subsidiary accounts in journals or computer files from documents such as sales invoices, receipts, check stubs and computer printouts. Generate and distribute trial balance reports for different departments and prepare adjusting journal entries as requested. Follow through deductions until closed (payment or non-payment and posted to aging). Perform various analyses as requested by management. Other duties as required. Qualifications Requires an associate degree or the equivalent plus a minimum of 2 years of related experience or any equivalent combination of related training and experience. The position requires the ability to work with a personal computer in a Windows environment. Requires proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word. Ability to use AS400 software or equivalent.
