Description Rachel Miller with Robert Half is partnering with a company in the Capital Region on an Accounts Receivable Clerk role. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, processing payments, and ensuring client accounts are up to date. Responsibilities: • Process client charges, payments, and deposits accurately and efficiently. • Maintain and reconcile client accounts, ensuring all information is up to date. • Research and resolve discrepancies in account records to maintain accuracy. • Prepare monthly accounts receivable reconciliations and distribute them to program managers. • Handle cash receipts and manage associated tasks within the Financial Edge system. • Support the finance team by assisting with accounts payable checks impacting client accounts. • Communicate effectively with team members and ask for assistance when needed. • Collaborate with the contract manager to ensure smooth financial operations. • Learn and adapt quickly to new systems and processes as required. Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent is required. • Associate's degree in accounting or related field is preferred. • Experience in not-for-profit accounting is highly desirable. • Proficiency in computerized accounting systems is essential. • Strong skills in Microsoft Word and Excel are required. • Familiarity with Financial Edge or similar accounting software is a plus. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy. • 1-2 years of relevant experience is preferred, but training will be provided for the right candidate.
