Accounts Receivable Clerk
Description We are in search of an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Memphis, Tennessee. The role primarily involves the handling of high-volume invoicing, both intercompany and external. The position offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity, with potential for long-term engagement. Responsibilities: • Efficiently processing a high volume of invoices on a daily basis. • Creating manual invoices and operating automated invoicing systems until noon. • Performing reconciliation activities and distributing invoices via email and postal services in the afternoon. • Maintaining accurate records of customer accounts and taking necessary actions based on account status. • Coordinating with other team members to ensure smooth operation of the accounts receivable process. • Handling both intercompany and external invoices. • Utilizing Accounts Receivable (AR) skills to optimize the invoicing process. • Ensuring all financial transactions are processed accurately and timely. • Communicating with internal departments to resolve any invoicing discrepancies. • Employing problem-solving skills to handle any issues that arise in the accounts receivable process. Requirements • Experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) is mandatory. • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel is required. • Excellent numerical and analytical skills are essential. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy is needed. • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly is crucial. • Good communication and interpersonal skills are required. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team is necessary. • Strong organizational and multitasking skills are needed. • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices is required. • High school diploma or equivalent educational level is a must. • Prior experience in a similar role would be advantageous. • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure is important. • Demonstrated problem-solving skills are necessary. • Familiarity with financial regulations will be considered a plus. • Willingness to continuously improve and learn new skills is expected.
