Accounts Receivable Clerk
Description We are looking for a diligent Accounts Receivable Clerk to become a part of our team in the manufacturing industry, located in NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio. As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will be tasked with handling customer credit applications, maintaining customer records, and managing customer inquiries. This role also involves monitoring customer accounts and taking necessary actions. Responsibilities: • Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner • Keep customer credit records up-to-date and precise • Handle and resolve customer inquiries promptly • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary • Update our system with relevant information • Obtain invoice and/or credit copies to send to customers • Retrieve proof of deliveries from various shipping websites • Key in returns when required • Assist other team members as needed • Use Outlook and Excel for various tasks, and willingness to learn SAP • Contact customers regarding past due invoices and send out invoices • Handle data entry tasks efficiently Requirements • Demonstrable experience in an Accounts Receivable role within the manufacturing industry • Proficiency in using Accounts Receivable (AR) software • Solid understanding and practical knowledge of Cash Applications • Familiarity with SAP software, with a preference for candidates who have previously used it in a detail oriented setting • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to accurately process large volumes of data • Excellent attention to detail, ensuring all financial records are maintained accurately and to a high standard • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise with customers regarding their accounts • Proven ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure • Good organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously • A team player, but also capable of working independently when required • Knowledge of standard accounting principles and regulations, specifically as they relate to Accounts Receivable • A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
