Accounts Receivable Clerk
Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk in the manufacturing industry based in San Antonio, Texas. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for the receipt and accounting of funds, as well as handling customer account inquiries and monitoring delinquent accounts. Responsibilities: • Ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications. • Maintaining and updating customer credit records in a timely manner. • Responding promptly to customer information request calls and emails. • Actively monitoring and taking action on delinquent customer accounts. • Accurately recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions from customers. • Investigating any discrepancies in customer accounts by obtaining information from sales and customer service teams, as well as directly from customers. • Conducting research on unapplied cash, chargebacks, over and short payments. • Assisting in the clarification of accounting records, when necessary. • Participating in monthly account closings. • Filing and copying all Accounts Receivable records for future reference. • Performing additional assignments as directed by Management. Requirements • Minimum of three years of experience in an Accounts Receivable role or similar position within the manufacturing industry • Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) tasks, including tracking and resolving outstanding payment issues • Demonstrated experience in Billing Collection, including managing the timely receipt of payments from customers • Proven skills in Collecting Payments, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and customers are billed promptly • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create spreadsheets, charts, and reports to track receivables • Strong customer service skills, with a focus on resolving customer inquiries and disputes in a detail oriented and timely manner • Experience in Cash Applications, including processing payments and balancing the accounts receivable ledger • Excellent data entry skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail • Ability to perform data entry tasks, including inputting customer details and payment information into the company's database.
