Description
We are inviting applications for the position of Accounts Receivable Clerk in our manufacturing unit. This role offers an employment opportunity and is integral to our accounting team. As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will be instrumental in managing customer credit applications, maintaining accurate records, and addressing customer inquiries, in addition to monitoring customer accounts and initiating necessary actions.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications.
• Keep customer credit records up-to-date and accurate.
• Actively address and resolve customer accounts receivable issues.
• Regularly reconcile batches, post, and enter data.
• Engage in regular communication with stakeholders including customers, the sales/marketing team, and shippers.
• Execute basic accounting tasks in adherence to standard procedures.
• Collaborate on monthly closings and annual reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
• Monitor and balance financial data across various ledgers, including the cash receipts journal.
• Act as a point of contact for delinquent customer accounts, using various means such as written correspondence and phone contact to arrange payments.
• Uphold, communicate, and reinforce the mission, values, and culture of the organization.
Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) operations
• Experience in Cash Collections is necessary
• Proficiency in Billing procedures and practices
• Knowledge of manufacturing industry's financial operations
• Ability to work with financial software and systems
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally
• Good understanding of general accounting principles
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to continuously improve and update knowledge and skills.
