Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable (AR) Clerk with at least 1 year of relevant experience in the medical, healthcare, or related industries. This contract position, based in Poulsbo, WA, offers an opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of a reputable organization within the healthcare sector. Key Responsibilities: + Accurately process accounts receivable transactions, including customer payments, adjustments, and billing. + Ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices, working closely with customers to address any discrepancies or concerns. + Conduct insurance claim follow-ups, verify coverage information, and reconcile remittance advice to patient accounts. + Research and resolve payment variances and billing issues in compliance with medical billing and coding standards. + Maintain detailed records of all AR activities in the accounting system and provide reports as required. + Collaborate with other departments, including billing and customer service, to ensure accuracy and efficiency in AR processes. + Support month-end and year-end closing activities by reconciling AR accounts and preparing necessary documentation. Requirements + A minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or collections within the medical or healthcare industry. + Familiarity with medical billing, insurance processes, and healthcare accounts management. + Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. + Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy. + Effective communication skills to interact with patients, insurance companies, and internal departments. + Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
