Accounts Receivable Clerk

Key Responsibilities: AR Processing & Payment Management: + Process and post customer payments accurately, including checks, ACH, and credit card transactions. + Prepare and send invoices to customers in a timely and accurate manner. + Monitor customer accounts for overdue payments and follow up to ensure timely collection. + Assist with setting up new customer accounts, verifying credit details, and maintaining account records. Account Reconciliation & Reporting: + Reconcile accounts receivable transactions and track discrepancies to ensure accuracy. + Generate monthly and ad-hoc AR reports, including aging reports, and provide team updates. + Assist in resolving billing issues, discrepancies, and customer inquiries in a professional manner. Collaboration & Support: + Work closely with the accounting and sales teams to ensure seamless communication about payments and account statuses. + Support the finance department with month-end and year-end close processes. + Contribute to the accuracy and organization of the financial system's data entry and filing. Requirements + High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus. + 1-2 years of experience in an accounts receivable or general accounting role preferred. + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software like QuickBooks or NetSuite. + Familiarity with ERP systems is a bonus but not required. + Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. + Strong communication skills to interact with customers and internal teams effectively. + A proactive and problem-solving mindset to resolve account discrepancies efficiently.
