Purpose
\nThe Accounts Receivable Collections Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the collections team to ensure timely and effective collection of outstanding receivables. This role involves supervising AR staff, monitoring aging reports, handling escalated customer issues, and implementing strategies to reduce past due balances and improve cash flow. The team is currently comprised of 8 Billing/AR analysts & 2 Collections analysts.
\nKey Responsibilities\n\nSupervise and lead the AR collections team, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.\nParticipate in branch calls to provide support and coverage when Billing/AR Analysts are unavailable or require additional guidance.\nTrack and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to collections, ensuring responsibilities are executed accurately and efficiently.\nGenerate and analyze AR metrics and collection reports and present updates to senior management.\nTrain and develop staff, conducting regular one-on-ones and performance evaluations related to their Collections responsibilities.\nMonitor and review aging reports, ensuring prompt follow-up on past-due accounts.\nInvestigate and resolve discrepancies in invoice payment status between the corporate payment systems and the corporate accounting system.\nDevelop and implement collection strategies and procedures to optimize cash collections & application and reduce delinquency.\nCoordinate with sales, customer service, and billing teams to resolve disputes or billing discrepancies.\nResolve escalated collection issues in a professional and customer-focused manner.\nReview credit memo and write-off requests to ensure accuracy before submitting to leadership for final approval.\nEnsure consistent implementation of the corporate collections policy across Portfolio Management Companies (PMCs) by conducting regular calls to monitor compliance and provide guidance.\nEnsure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and accounting standards.\nEvaluate credit risk and recommend credit limits and terms for new and existing customers.\nAssist in month-end closing processes related to accounts receivable and bad debt provisioning.\nOther duties as assigned.\n\n RequirementsQualifications & Experience
\n\nAssociate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or related field is a plus \n3-5 years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or related financial operations roles, with at least 1-3 years in a supervisory role.\n\n\nSkills / Other Requirements
\n\nProficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, and ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics Finance & Operations preferred).\nAbility to analyze financial data.\nMust be very detail oriented, possess excellent follow-through, and can multi-task.\nExcellent communications and interpersonal skills.\nStrong problem-solving skills with acute attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines and goals\nAbility to professionally communicate both internally and externally with individuals at all levels of an organization, including senior leadership.\nAbility to handle sensitive customer situations tactfully and effectively.\nExceptional time management skills.\nKnowledge of relevant laws and regulations (e.g., Fair Debt Collection Practices Act).\nUnderstanding of, or experience in, the Community Association Management Industry preferred.\n\n\n#LI-AC1
