Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage customer invoicing, maintain accounts receivable records, and perform collection functions. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a robust understanding of accounting principles.

ResponsibilitiesDirect customer invoicing and maintain accounts receivable records.Analyze related transactions and perform accounts receivable collection functions.Apply payment receipts and create related policies and procedures.Create invoices for customer shipments, investigate billing discrepancies, and process credits.Communicate with customers to resolve problems.Process and post daily payments to customer accounts, including credit card payments and bank deposits.Establish, review, and maintain credit limits for new and existing customers.Develop credit policies, procedures, and guidelines with CFO directives.Manage credit and collection operations; collect on accounts through bill reminders and direct communication with customers.Initiate formal collection procedures on delinquent accounts and coordinate with third-party collection agencies when required.Advise management on the status and issues of past due accounts.Generate financial statements and reports detailing paid and unpaid invoices and other accounts receivable activity.Maintain customer file information and applicable data.Perform special research projects/tasks such as reviewing payment trends and creating outstanding invoices reports.Update or add customer profiles in the accounts receivable system.Handle other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsStrong work ethic and organizational skills.High level of attention to detail.Ability to work on multiple priorities under stringent deadlines.Strong interpersonal skills in a team-oriented environment.Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.Ability to analyze, research, and solve problems within an accounting system.Proficiency in calculating figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and proportions.Knowledge of accounting in a manufacturing environment.Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience working with MRP systems (Syteline) is a plus.Working knowledge of accounting, database, and other manufacturing software preferred.Work Environment

This position is in-office. The accounting manager will be available a couple of days a week, and the accounts payable supervisor or accounts receivable supervisor will be available on other days. The company offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities for growth.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $29.00/hr.
