The Accounts Receivable Coordinator is assists in updating the Firm's Accounts Receivable subsidiary ledger through the posting of cash receipts, approved A/R adjustments, and monitoring of unapplied cash, to assure updated, correct and timely accounts receivable balances in all client accounts. The position is also responsible for posting and coding non-A/R cash receipts. This position has access to client and vendor records and other firm-sensitive information. The Accounts Receivable Coordinator must exercise a high degree of discretion and integrity in dealing with financial records and information.

How you will contribute:

Process daily cash receipts from lockbox, researching and applying exceptions to the A/R ledger. Process daily cash receipts from other payment sources, such as wires, ACH, client payment portal and credit card payments. Validate client payments in integrated receivables system; confirm daily files to/from bank are received and processed. Process and code non-A/R cash receipts to general ledger. Maintain A/R statement settings for the firm and enter approved exceptions if any. Process A/R Adjustments for the Firm in accordance with policy. Monitor and follow up on unapplied cash, and provide data for Unclaimed Property reporting. Run credit reports from D&B upon request, and forward updates. Run A/R reports, agings, and/or statements upon request.
We are looking for people who have Forward Vision and:

Has fundamental understanding of accounts receivable, accounts payable and accounting processes, including internal controls and segregation of duties. Has fundamental understanding of accounting terminology, processes and chart of accounts. Proficient in MS Office products (Word, Excel and Outlook), with particular emphasis on Excel skills. Personal initiative; ability to think proactively and problem-solve Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality Strong analytic skills Proficient written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively A positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills; ability to interact with clients, partners, vendors and co-workers in a professional manner. Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work on multiple tasks with regular interruptions Maintain professional appearance and demeanor, reflective of the Firm, at all times Strong organizational, time management and interpersonal problem solving skills; attention to detail is critical Professional demeanor towards duties and responsibilities, particularly with regard to attendance, confidentiality, professional ethics, the exercise of professional judgement and adherence to Firm policy Must be reliable, engaged, flexible, and able to meet deadlines Ability to work as a team player and succeed in a team environment, but also work independently and be a self-starter
Preferred Qualifications:

Associate's degree in a related field 1 year of experience required, 3-5 years preferred

The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Positions that are non-exempt will be eligible for overtime pay compensable at a rate of one and a half times the hourly rate for any hours worked over 40 in a work week. Benefits are eligibility-based and could include group health plan benefits, 401(K), profit-sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave.
