As a time-limited Financial Specialist III with Accounts Receivable - Office of Financial Management, you will be the face of our Utility Cashier Window, providing exceptional customer service and creating a positive experience for both external and internal customers on behalf of the following departments:
Planning & Development ServicesEmergency Services EMS Public UtilitiesAbout the PositionIn this role, you will balance and monitor Accounts Receivable and related functions for the Department and maintain a complete understanding of all services provided by the financial department for cross-training purposes. This is one (1) of three (3) positions working as a cross-functional team.
Essential Functions:
Audit Credit Card Machine for PCI ComplianceBalance Cash Drawer DailyPrepare and submit insufficient funds documentation and costPrepare, design, and distribute reports, including credit card informationPrepare refunds as requiredPrepare, balance, and monitor credit card and daily receipts and reportsVerify Batch Report Information to third-party billing agency and internal customerAssists with reporting as assignedPossess the ability to identify, interpret, and implement changes as the result of new processes & software changesAbout the ScheduleWork Hours:
Full-Time, 40 hours per week. No overtime.Monday – Friday, 7:15 a.m. – 4:15 p.m. (no weekends!)About YouMinimum Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting or Finance -AND- Four (4) years of work experience in auditing procedures, inventory control, or bookkeeping/financial duties.Year-for-year basis may substitute for a required college degree.The ideal candidate has the following:

About Everything ElseStarting Pay: $23.56 - $24.04, based on experience.
This is a time-limited position with an end date of 04/03/2026. Time-limited positions include benefits and retirement and can work up to 40 hours/week. They do not obtain career services and have no retention rights.
