Accounts Receivable Manager
The Accounts Receivable Manager will be responsible for all facets of Accounts Receivable. Oversee Branch/Division collection activity, cash applications, billing integrity, and the mailroom. This individual will develop and maintain a sound working relationship with the Branch and Home Office staff.



 

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service support to the branches and Home Office personnel requesting accounts receivable information
• Manage mailroom coordinator and ensure all mail is sent timely and in the most cost effective manner
• Manage Collections Department and oversee information to and from collection agency
• Responsible for timely and accurate posting of all forms of cash payments and adjustments
• Review Accounts Receivable records from Division Controllers monthly
• Produce reports and information as requested by external auditors
• Ensure compliance with documented internal control procedures
• Reconcile various A/R general ledger accounts
• Monitor credit balances and ensure unclaimed property is remitted to the State
• Establish and monitor billing integrity process
• Monitor A/R aging and A/R days and identify trends
• Assess adequacy of bad debt reserve
• Manage A/R transition of acquired companies/disposed branches
• Audit methods and procedures to improve efficiency
• Conform in all respects with applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations, ordinances and other orders and to all company policies, procedures and directives from supervisors
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by management


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

• 4-year college degree or equivalent in accounting or related field
• 5-7 years of experience in accounting or business
• 3+ years of experience in supervision
• Combination of education and experience
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office-Outlook, Word and Excel, JD Edwards, and SoftPak
• Demonstrate ability to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing
• Ability to key information using a ten key adding machine and computer keyboard
