Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team. You will be responsible for billing, processing adjustments, payments, and cashier functions, as well as understanding the flow of electronic data in and out of the accounts receivable system. Your role will also involve ensuring patient confidentiality and providing excellent customer service.

ResponsibilitiesContact patients on a timely basis to secure on-time payments, investigate circumstances of non-payment, negotiate and resolve conflicts, and expedite payment.Maintain accurate accounts receivable account balances, including posting payments, applying prepayments, and account adjustments.Maintain change float and order coin.Prepare daily bank deposits and reconcile cash sheets.Enter departmental cheques.Distribute petty cash.Process daily invoices, statements, and claims, and resolve incoming inquiries and requests promptly.Recommend collection procedures for difficult-to-collect accounts to ensure minimal bad debt.Maintain accurate account collection histories and organize account follow-ups to confirm prior payment commitments.Collaborate with internal and external sources to resolve outstanding claims.Ensure patient confidentiality.Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
