Accounts Receivable Representative

The Shared Services Center serves as the central hub for managing various financial processes, including accounts receivable (AR). As the volume and complexity of AR transactions continue to increase, the need for a dedicated AR Accountant has become evident to ensure accurate recording, timely collections, and compliance with accounting standards.

The creation of an AR Accountant position is essential to streamline AR operations within the Shared Services Center. With the growing number of customers and transactions, there is a clear need for a skilled professional to manage billing, invoicing, collections, and reconciliations efficiently.

Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:

Compiles amounts owed by the company to vendors or other individuals, or owed to the company by customers or clients, and inputs figures to the accounting systemReceives and distributes invoices, verifying accuracy and compliance with organizational policiesEnters invoice amounts into the accounting system and processes invoices or paymentsReconciles amounts received or owed by comparing invoices to POs or other recordsResponds to inquiries from customers or clients and researches and resolves concerns or discrepanciesCollects missing transportation documents from carriers, i.e., CMR collectionContributes ideas for process improvementDevelops professional relationships with internal and external partners, maintain open lines of communication and build rapport by providing timely and professional serviceContinues to develop skills and build upon knowledge of Accounts Receivable processesOther duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements

Required Qualifications:High School diploma or GED equivalentMinimum 2 years of experience using accounting principalsSite Specific:  Fluent in Spanish and English (written and verbal)

Preferred Qualifications:Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programsIntermediate knowledge of OracleAbility to perform in a dynamic, ever-changing environmentStrong attention to detail and ability to work well within a deadline driven environmentPerform functions efficiently and accuratelyEffective and flexible communication skillsPositive, professional attitude and excellent customer service skills with an ability to deal with conflict/sensitive topicsStrong interpersonal skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality of sensitive informationValues a diverse and inclusive work environment
