Job Overview:

The Account Receivable Representative within the Accounts Receivable (AR) department, provides assistance to stores and customers in analyzing commercial customer credit accounts for payment status, credit limits, authorization for purchases, and reconciliation of payment posting issues. Post customer payments to account, make outbound collection calls on delinquent accounts, research payment posting issues and follow up with customers/stores as needed to reconcile customer account issues.

Responsibilities:

Respond to store calls for override authorization, troubleshoot and analyze customer accounts as needed, work with stores to identify and resolve issues related to customer accounts and invoices. Respond to inbound customer calls to customer call center and assist customer in resolving account issues such as payment posting errors, sales tax issues, invoice requests, and delinquent account issues. Effectively communicate and clearly explain credit policies to customers. Monitor delinquent accounts and initiate outbound collection calls and correspondence. Post customer payments to accounts, research and coordinate account adjustments as necessary. Reconcile customer accounts to resolve issues such as payment posting errors, sales tax adjustments, customer
payment issues, and invoicing issues. Monitor customer call center database to ensure all assigned calls are returned quickly with customer satisfaction. Utilize collections database to monitor past due invoices on customer accounts and maintain collection status on
delinquent accounts.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business a plus
2-3 years’ experience in Accounts Receivable, including but not limited to customer calls and collections experience, credit approval and account setup, or comparable administrative experience. Experience in a team environment within a corporate office setting Excellent verbal and written communication skills Possess excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Efficient data processing skills, computer literacy, intermediate proficiency using Excel and Word (minimum competency), 10-key by touch Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) JDA/AS400, or larger ERP system experience is a plus
