Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our healthcare team in Rochester, New York. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of a dynamic organization within the healthcare industry. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing accounts receivable processes and ensuring accurate financial transactions. Responsibilities: • Process and manage accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate billing. • Handle cash activity and transactions, maintaining detailed records of all payments. • Perform Medicaid billing tasks, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. • Utilize accounting software systems to streamline financial operations. • Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and address billing inquiries. • Monitor and reconcile accounts to ensure all financial records are up to date. • Generate and review reports related to accounts receivable and cash handling. • Assist in the implementation and optimization of financial systems and processes. • Maintain meticulous documentation of all accounts receivable activities. • Provide support for audits and other financial reviews. Requirements • Proficiency in accounting software systems and tools. • Strong knowledge of accounts receivable functions and processes. • Experience with Medicaid billing and related compliance requirements. • Familiarity with cash handling and transaction management. • Ability to manage billing functions effectively and resolve discrepancies. • Excellent organizational and communication skills. • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in financial records. • Prior experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.
