The Accounts Receivable Specialist for Leica Biosystems is responsible for working to perform collections of delinquent accounts and resolve issues with inaccurate billing amounts and/or purchase orders. This position is part of the Finance department located in Deer Park, Illinois and will be onsite. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives. You will be a part of the finance team and report to the Finance Director responsible for minimizing financial risk to the organization by assessing and advising on creditworthiness of prospective and existing clientele. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: + Maintain past dues balance to provided target (% of total balance) within their collective portfolio. + Investigate and identify the root cause of customer disputes and billing errors by working closely with peers and other associates. With help with Accounts Receivable Senior Manager, negotiate and resolve disputes and issues with customers. + Prepare ad-hoc and routine reports. The essential requirements of the job include: + High School Diploma or GED. + Proficient in computer system-based tools including SAP, Microsoft Office applications, presentation, e-mail, web browsers and spreadsheet software. + 2+ years of collections or related experience. It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: + Associates degree in a related field (i.e. Accounting, Mathematics, Finance). + Experience in a healthcare or medical field. + Correcting inaccuracies and purchase orders.
