Accounts Receivable Specialist

Here’s what you’d do:

The Regional Business Specialist, Accounts Receivable focus will develop strong relationship with our clients to ensure timely payment for our services.  

You’d be responsible for:

Contract Setup and Budget set up in our accounting systemPreparing Monthly BillingsRegular follow up on billings submitted to ensure acceptance Collection and application of paymentMaking daily collection calls for aging receivables and log correspondence and status notes for review with branch managementMaintaining an accurate aging reportIdentifying and executing any necessary invoice adjustmentsSending statements to outstanding customersInteracting with customers to resolve outstanding issuesMaintaining AR/collections for outstanding accounts through HEAVY call volume, e-mail reminders and creating statementsProviding excellent service to customers by making a determined effort to resolve problems and keep them from recurringAnswering phone & filingIT support with mobile devices as neededProviding audit support to internal/external auditors and corporate tax teamEnsuring all accounts receivable billings are processed in accordance with documented SOX controlsPreparing timely month-end closing activitiesDemonstrating continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service

You might be a good fit if you have:

Strong data entry and reconciliation capabilities Understanding of debits and credits Ability to work in multiple systemsStrong customer service and time management skillsProven working experience in an Accounts Receivable role/responsibilitySolid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulationsData entry skills along with a knack for numbersHands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software (JDE )High degree of accuracy and attention to detailCustomer service orientation and negotiation skillsMinimum 2 years of experience managing Accounts ReceivableJDE or Oracle experienceBachelor’s degree in accountingProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook email)

A team player and supportive business partner attitudeStrong multi-tasking skills with the ability to work in fast paced environmentStrong verbal and written communication skillsHigh attention to detail with strong organizational skillsTakes initiative to identify and resolve issuesStrong desire to grow within a region and within the organization
