The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for processing and managing incoming payments, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate records. This role ensures the timely and accurate receipt of payments, handles customer inquiries related to invoices, and supports the company's cash flow by managing outstanding balances.
Key Responsibilities:
Invoice Processing: Generate and send out invoices to customers promptly, ensuring accuracy and clarity. Payment Tracking: Monitor incoming payments and record them correctly in the accounting system, maintaining an organized record of all transactions. Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts receivable records, investigate discrepancies, and adjust entries as needed. Collections Management: Follow up on overdue accounts, contacting customers via email, phone, or mail to resolve outstanding balances. Customer Support: Respond to customer inquiries regarding their accounts, providing clarification on billing issues and resolving any disputes. Reporting: Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status, including aged receivables, collections performance, and cash flow forecasts. Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies and relevant accounting and financial regulations.
Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred). Proven experience in accounts receivable, billing, or collections (2+ years). Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with customers and team members. Analytical skills to resolve discrepancies and reconcile accounts.

Familiarity with basic accounting principles and practices. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused approach to resolving issues.
