Description We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist, ready to join our operations in Smithtown, New York. This position is vital in our financial department, focusing on managing accounts receivable operations. The role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity, ensuring a dynamic workplace in the industry. Responsibilities: • Utilize accounting software systems, especially Sage Software, for efficient invoice processing, payment receipts handling, and account reconciliations. • Actively monitor customer accounts for any irregularities such as non-payment or delayed payments. • Regularly produce detailed financial reports and statements, outlining the accounts receivable status. • Initiate communication with customers via phone or email to address overdue payments. • Work closely with the sales and customer service departments to address and resolve any billing or customer credit issues. • Provide prompt and accurate customer service for any customer queries or issues. • Strictly follow the company's financial policies and procedures, ensuring compliance at all times. • Use CRM and ERP tools for managing customer accounts and optimizing enterprise resource planning. • Show proficiency in handling various accounting functions and billing tasks. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required. • Competency in using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems. • Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is necessary. • The candidate must be adept at various Accounting Functions. • Expertise in Accounts Receivable (AR) is a must-have. • The applicant should be familiar with Billing Functions. • Proficiency in using Sage 100 is preferred but not required.
