Description In partnership with a rapidly growing Baton Rouge industrial services company, Robert Half is seeking a detail oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist. As an integral part of the team, you will be entrusted with the task of maintaining customer credit records, processing payments, and addressing customer queries. In addition, you will be required to monitor customer accounts, ensuring timely action is taken when necessary. Responsibilities: • Efficiently apply customer payments to their respective invoices, ensuring balance with remittance advice across all business lines. • Regularly download and distribute bank reports on a daily and monthly basis. • Maintain a comprehensive cash spreadsheet, accurately documenting all cash activity and reconciling it with bank balances. • Establish payment records in NetSuite for checks, wires, and ACH credit transfers. • Work collaboratively with accounts receivable specialists from different business lines to ensure accurate cash application. • Conduct credit checks as part of the new customer verification process. • Keep track of customer credit worthiness and report significant changes to the management. • Handle customer refunds processing. • Assist in the month-end closing process by reconciling accounts receivable, unapplied cash, and bank accounts to the general ledger. • Support the billing and collections staff when required. • Aid in cash management and forecasting. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is necessary • Experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) is required • Must possess skills in Billing procedures • Familiarity with Cash Applications is essential • Experience in Cash Collections is a must • Knowledge of Commercial Collections is needed • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required For confidential consideration, contact Hayley Euper at 504-383-0704 or apply today!
