Accounts Receivable Specialist (Rebate and Incentives)

Description
A fast-growing distribution company is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist with expertise in rebates and incentives to join our dynamic team in Brea, California. This is a pivotal role within our operations, where you will manage rebate and incentive processes, ensure accurate record-keeping, and foster effective communication across departments.
Responsibilities:
• Administer and monitor rebate programs and claims, ensuring their accuracy and timeliness.
• Collaborate with Commercial Order Services (COS) on rebate claims with discrepancies.
• Process chargebacks on returned orders related to rebates.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge on all rebate submission requirements.
• Assist accountants and auditors in preparing documentation as necessary.
• Manage cooperative advertising by completing and submitting claim forms for vendor co-op reimbursement.
• Stay updated with all co-op vendor programs and submission guidelines.
• Participate in month-end close activities, including account reconciliations and journal entries.
• Reconcile and enter credit memos for warranty claims in a timely manner (Backup Only).
• Coordinate with Service Writers on pending warranty claims to ensure timely processing.
• Process warranty chargebacks and maintain comprehensive knowledge of all warranty programs.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to track and reconcile purchases.
• Utilize skills in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing, Cash Applications, Cash Collections, Commercial Collections, and Acumatica.
Requirements
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
+ Strong understanding of rebates and incentives.
• Proficiency in account reconciliation.
• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Ability to manage billing processes accurately and efficiently.
• Knowledge of cash applications.
• Experience in cash collections and commercial collections.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial reporting and analysis.
• Familiarity with an ERP system
• Experience in managing rebate and incentive programs.
+ A sense of urgency and ownership in managing responsibilities and staying on top of tasks.
+ Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and address concerns effectively.
