\n \n Job Description

The Accounts Receivable Supervisor is responsible for training and supervising Accounts Receivable employees and assisting in all aspects of homeowner association accounting processes. This is an accounting support position in a fast-paced centralized accounting services environment providing financial services to community associations throughout North America. Candidates for this position must meet Associa’s credit requirements.

Duties include but are not limited to:

\n\nSupervise a group of Accounts Receivable (A/R) staff.\nManage accounting processes included but not limited to posting checks, adjusting homeowner payments, account reconciliation, direct debit set up and/or drafting, processing refunds, overdraft fee posting, \nMake daily assignments.\nTrack daily metrics.\nAssessment of staff to determine areas of opportunity and use of specialized skills.\nConfirm timeliness of processing by accounts receivable clerks.\nManage backfill/backup and workloads (including fluctuations).\nAssign branches portfolios to A/R staff based on experience, skill level and abilities.\nWork directly with other leaders in the Organization as needed.\nMaintain reports for tracking key performance indicators (KPI).\nDevelop and train staff to meet department requirements including capacity assessment.\nResponsible for supervision and performance of staff including performance reviews, disciplinary action and hiring.\nOther duties as assigned.\n\n Requirements

Knowledge and Skills:

\n\nKnowledge of working with banks and/or general accounts receivable practices and procedures (US GAAP).\nKnowledge of accounting principles including debits and credits.\nKnowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) at a proficient level.\nKnowledge of conflict resolution techniques at a proficient level.\nProfessional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.)\nProfessional customer service skills.\nStrong leadership acumen with the ability to motivate others.\nSelf-starter, proactive, detail oriented and a team player.\nTime management and time critical prioritization skills.\n\n

Education:

\n\nAssociate degree Required.\nBachelor’s Degree Preferred.\n5 – 7 years of related or closely related experience.\n3 – 5 years of Supervisory experience.\n
