Accounts Receivable Supervisor

Position Summary:
The Accounts Receivable Supervisor is responsible for supervising the company’s accounts receivable processes and functions in a professional and knowledgeable manner. This position directs and oversees the daily management of the accounts receivable staff and processes associated with invoice payments, customer communications, and collections. This role ensures company policies and procedures are adhered to as they pertain to accounts receivable.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Review data entry reports for accuracy and post in ERP
+ Communicate and explain work procedures to subordinates
+ Ensure operational deadlines of AR functions are met
+ Weekly processing of expense reports through Concur in accordance with company travel policy
+ Ensure timely payment of expense reports to employees
+ Ensure accuracy of reporting into ERP system from external sources (credit card statements, Concur expense, etc.)
+ Work with operational departments to facilitate resolution of challenges in processing Accounts Receivable
+ Assist with the development of processes and policy to improve department function
Supervisory Responsibilities:
+ Direct and lead the work of the Accounts Receivable and Collections departments
Experience, Education, Certifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting preferred
+ 3-5 years supervisory experience preferred
+ Prior background in AR and Collections processing
Competencies:
+ Effective oral and written communication skills
+ Ability to exhibit composure when facing difficult individuals (especially customers)
Computer Skills:
+ Expertise with various types of accounting software platforms; Advanced Excel skills

Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, smartphones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and scanners.
