An Accounts Supervisor will supervise the Accounts function within the Finance department by overseeing the development and processes of accurate reports, forecasts and projections.

What will I be doing?

\n

As Accounts Supervisor, you will supervise the Accounts function within the Finance department and ensure processes of accurate reports. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

\n\nAnalyse large volumes of complex financial data from multiple sources to create accurate reports, forecasts, and projections.  \nDemonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, including collaborating effectively with others to address and resolve issues.  \nIdentify potential risks or problems in advance and take appropriate measures to prevent them.  \nMentor and develop problem-solving skills among direct reports and team members to enhance overall team performance.  \nTake initiative to identify, prioritize, and implement necessary actions to ensure the team meets its responsibilities.  \nExhibit excellent communication and negotiation skills when interacting with all levels of management and external customers.  \nProficient in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook, with the ability to quickly adapt to and learn new software programs as needed.  \nOversee the Accounts Receivable function, coordinating with the CoE team to ensure accurate and timely posting, collection and allocation of payments.  \nMonitor House Accounts and Group Masters to ensure timely collection and closure of payments.  \nPrepare Bad Debt provisions in accordance with Hilton policies for review and approval by the Director of Finance (DOF) during month-end closing.  \nPrepare, review, and validate Travel Agent Commission accruals and payouts during month-end closing.  \nEnsure all balance sheet transactions are accurately accounted for, documented, and reconciled in a timely manner.  \nAssist in the preparation of financial forecasts and budgets as directed.  \nSupport and coordinate internal and external audit processes to ensure compliance and accuracy.  \nEnsure the month-end closing process is completed on time and all required financial reports are prepared for review by the Hotel Finance Lead.  \nMaintain a thorough understanding of the duties and procedures of team members within the finance department under your supervision\nStay updated on all relevant hotel and Hilton policies, particularly those related to finance, and ensure adherence.  \nActively participate in daily departmental activities, ensuring all tasks are up to date and assisting team members as needed.  \nAssist the Finance Department Head in providing accurate financial information to support decision-making processes.  \nEnsure strict adherence to internal accounting control procedures and communicate any identified weaknesses to the Finance Lead.  \nMaintain an organized and up-to-date filing system for all financial records.  \nHandle all requests and inquiries in a timely, efficient, and professional manner.  \nPerform any other duties as assigned to support the finance department and organizational goals\n

\n\nPrevious Accounts experience, preferably within a hotel environment\nRelevant degree, in accounting or related business discipline, from an academic institution\n\n
