Accreditation and Survey Specialist | Accreditation-Joint Commission | Day
Overview Full Time Position Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm This position is responsible for the facilitation of the accreditation continuous survey readiness plan including support of on-site surveys, scheduled and unscheduled. The position collaborates with departmental leadership to respond to accreditation and survey related inquiries from entities such as The Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), State of Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA) and other specialty accrediting/certifying bodies as assigned. The position utilizes a variety of tools, including on-line sites, to assist the organization to maintain survey readiness and respond to requests from regulatory/accrediting/certifying bodies. Qualifications Required Education: Bachelor's degree Preferred Education: Completion of a clinical training program such as nursing, pharmacy, respiratory care, medical technologist, etc. Required Licensure/Certifications: N/A Preferred Licensure/Certifications: Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred. Required Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in an acute care hospital setting is required. Preferred Experience: Knowledge of The Joint Commission standards, Medicare Conditions of Participation and Florida Statutes is preferred. Experience with coordination of survey and accreditation processes is preferred. Knowledge of analytic techniques and metrics used in analysis of health care data is preferred. Experience in data analysis and reporting is preferred. Necessary Skills: 1. Customer Service-this position will respond to multiple requests from leaders within the organization as well as from outside entities. Must be able to respond quickly and graciously to requests for information and standards interpretation. Responses are often required in presentation format. 2. Interpersonal skills-this position will respond effectively to inquiries and produce unbiased analysis of controversial or complex topics. Strong communication skills are required. 3. Ability to maintain confidentiality-this position will have access to high level, sensitive, confidential, data. Must be able to maintain this data in a confidential manner. 4. Organizational Skills - must be highly skilled in managing mutiple priorities and project management. 5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint). 6. The ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents. 7. The ability to deal with both abstract and concrete concepts . 8. The ability to manage web-based databases. 9.
