Accreditation Director

The Accreditation Director will be responsible for managing all aspects of both LCME and SACSCOC accreditation compliance. The director will gather and organize data, work with committee members to define committee responsibilities and procedures, edit submitted faculty documents, and generally guide all accreditation activities under the leadership of the Associate Dean of Medical Education. The Accreditation Director will also stay up to date with all accreditation compliance trends and changes. 

Primary position responsibilities include:

Develop reliable digital infrastructure to centralize accreditation data and ensure adequate documentation of compliance efforts. Gather and organize all data related to LCME and SACSOC compliance. Ensure all data is readily available to all LCME steering committee and DCI committee members. Assist faculty, staff, and committee members with submitting and managing data as needed. Assist the LCME steering committee and DCI committee and subcommittees with all aspects of the committee work. Attend all committee meetings to give reports and offer expertise. Edit and offer input to the DCI documents as they emerge from the DCI committee and DCI subcommittees to ensure accuracy and cohesion. Assist in ensuring all documents are ready for submission prior to the LCME submission date.  Plan and organize LCME mock visit with consultant(s) and the LCME site visit. Ensure all mock and site visit reports are distributed to and responded to by the appropriate person/office. Ensure the Belmont University partners and community stakeholders are informed about all activities leading up to the mock and site visit with frequent updates and appropriate calendar invites.   Attend appropriate conferences and educational seminars as well as participate in self-directed learning about LCME and SACSCOC accreditation including changes, trends, and research into where other institutions are cited. Provide educational seminars to faculty and staff to assist in the FCoM community's understanding of the accreditation process.  Participate and provide support and guidance for FCoM's participation in Belmont University's SACSCOC accreditation efforts. Ensure SACSCOC accreditation requirements are communicated to all of FCOM faculty and staff. Along with the Associate Dean of Medical Education, ensure all of FCoM policies and procedures are in compliance with SACSCOC best practices.
