Description

 

We are seeking a Summer/Fall Co-Op to work with device development group of Skyworks Solutions. Our group is the R&D group focusing on developing the new acoustic technology, including but not limited to device modeling and characterization, new fabrication process evaluation, problem resolution in product development, manufacture yield improvement, etc. The Co-Op will be working closely with team members and may work with engineers across multiple functional teams as needed.

Responsibilities

Develop and validate the latest modeling methodology 

Execute various measurement for acoustic devices 

Performance data gathering and statistical analysis

Run circuit and electromagnetic simulation

Required Experience and Skills Currently enrolled in PHD or MS program for Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Statistics, or other relevant major. Available from July to December 2025 onsite at our facility in Irvine, CA. Good skill in data processing and analysis (by Python, Matlab, etc).  Basic knowledge in Electro-thermal simulation. Basic understanding of RF design. Desired Experience and Skills It will be a plus if you have experience in any of the following areas:  acoustic device physics COMSOL/ADS based ETH simulation RF characterization big data analysis RF device model parameter extraction Self-motivated and a good team player. 

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
