Team Submarine’s Submarine COLUMBIA Class Program Office is responsible for:

The construction of COLUMBIA Class submarines, financial and budget management, shipyard support of submarines, vendor support of submarines, logistical support, quality assurance (SUBSAFE), and post-delivery submarine certifications and test programs.

 

The Team Submarine concept unifies once diverse submarine-related activities into a single submarine-centric organization with the goal of eliminating traditional stovepipe structures and processes that created impediments and inefficiencies in the submarine research, development, acquisition, and maintenance communities. Team Submarine provides improved communication among the various offices that contribute to the overall success of the United States Submarine Force.

 

In this role, you will:

 

Support PMS397 evaluation of proposed designs and arrangements.Identify technical issues that need resolution in their particular area.  Work with applicable SITs to facilitate resolution of technical issues. Facilitate timely decisions and review and adjudication of all design products and written correspondence.Act as a liaison with other PMS397 team members and NAVSEA05 Technical Warrant Holders (TWH).Will be a primary customer contact for all activities, regularly meeting with and updating the customer on project status.Establish and maintain effective relationships with the program manager, deputy program manager and/or technical lead.Lead program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.Provide acquisition management planning and execution supportLeading technical discussions for project reviews, including preparing and delivering formal briefings.Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

An active Secret Security Clearance, or the ability to obtain oneBachelor’s degree in a technical or a related fieldExcellent written and oral communications skillsTime management skillsProven excellent interpersonal skillsAbility to multitask effectivelyAbility to use Microsoft Office packages effectivelyAbility to be flexible both in relation to job-specification and schedulesAbility to solve problemsAt least 2 years of experience in accoustics engineering10% travel required

Additional desired experience and skills:

Experience with Navy acquisition and/or in-service programsActive Duty Experience in the submarine service preferredRecent experience in Team Submarine would be ideal

In compliance with local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary range for this role is $78,073.24 to $130,122.06; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
