Within this Acoustics org, our Transducer Engineering group pioneers novel speaker designs that are coordinated into all Apple products. We are a team with multifaceted strengths of acoustics and vibration experts, accomplished listeners, and creative problem solvers. We work closely with multi-disciplined specialists including mechanical engineers, system engineers, industrial designers, audio tuners, and components suppliers to conceptualize and build transducers that improve the audio experience for our customers. We are looking for an Acoustic Transducer Engineer intern to collaborate on transducer design, assembly and test. DescriptionDescriptionAs the intern, you will work with a team of people who are passionate about audio and delivering the best possible user experience. You will drive a transducer design and development, collaborating with our manufacturing partners to mock-up samples and test them. The role involves linear and non-linear computer simulation of electromagnetic, acoustics, and structural mechanics. You will optimize each design aspect for our custom transducers and work with other multi-functional teams to deliver an extraordinary audio experience to millions.Minimum QualificationsMinimum QualificationsMaster’s degree or equivalent experience in Acoustics/Mechanical vibration or a related fieldUnderstand the fundamentals of Acoustics (such as sound waves, propagation, sound fields, etc.)Familiar with the structure and theory of speakers/transducers.Skilled with finite element modeling simulation (can be COMSOL, ANSYS, or similar)Experience with 3D solid modeling and meshing toolsGood interpersonal skills with both English and MandarinKey QualificationsKey QualificationsPreferred QualificationsPreferred QualificationsExperience with the speaker components and materials, assembly techniques and process together with their integration into products.Has knowledge of lumped-parameter simulation methods and tools, as implemented in either equivalent circuit simulators or System Dynamics simulators(MATLAB and Simulink).Has working experience with Speaker LPM and nonlinear parameters measurement systems like Klippel.Familiar with audio signal processing and digital signal processing.Education & ExperienceEducation & ExperienceAdditional RequirementsAdditional RequirementsMore
