Acquisition Logistician (Production) Senior

General Summary:

The employee will perform various tasks related to the planning, development, implementation, and management of a comprehensive, affordable, and effective systems support strategy. 

Responsibilities:

·       Provide product assistance to the PM and Product Support Manager (PSM) for the execution of the PSM’s duties as the Total Life Cycle Systems Manager

·       Assist sustainment teams through data analysis, acquisition management, procurement, and other associated logistics data of critical assets, insurance spares, tooling, and related parts and material.

·       Demonstrate knowledge of AFI 23-101, Air Force Material Management Policy, AFMAN 23-122, Material Management Procedures, and DoDM 4140.01, VOL 6, DoD Supply Chain Material Management Procedures.

·       Demonstrate knowledge of Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM), IAW Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Standard Process for Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM).

·       Complete Government Furnished Property (GFP) inventories, document findings and ensure timely correction of discrepancies, In Accordance With (IAW), Department of the Air Force (DAFMAN) 23-119.

·       Prepare, analyze, and evaluate Contract Data Requirement List (CDRL) GFP Reports, procedures, and policy data.

·       Assist in developing methods and improvement procedures for storage, issuing, and providing disposition instructions of GFP according to regulation.

·       Ensure compliance with Spare Parts Requirements, Spare Modeling, and Spare Requirement Review Board (SRRB).

·       Assist with Item Unique Identification (IUID), MIL-STD-129/130 process.

·       Provide assistance to the development and maintenance of Post Production Support Plans (PPSP), Post Production Transition Plans (PPTP), and Transition to Post Production (TPP) and shall develop and execute requirements in phased strategies for PPTP and TPP.

·       Coordinate all logistics elements including but not limited to spares, Support Equipment (SE), training, facilities, technical data, and provisioning to ensure all integrated logistics support requirements for the program are identified and tailored to the directorate's needs. Assigned personnel shall perform as key participants in developing long term weapon system supportability approaches that further the Government’s acquisition strategy goals and objectives.

·       Assist in accomplishing analyses, writing reports, recommending actions, or performing any related tasks that provide logisticians the capability to conduct the orderly arrangement of all maintenance support, including SE, to keep systems and equipment ready to perform assigned missions. This includes all levels of maintenance and implementation of those levels using partnering, organic, and Contractor support.

·       Provide support in the following areas: performing reliability-centered maintenance program analyses, level of repair analyses, aircraft battle damage repair, and other maintenance trade studies; recommending required maintenance capability for all levels of repair to include calibration concepts, requirements, and plans; tracking and monitoring weapon system modifications; assisting with the Source of Repair Assignment Process (SORAP) and assisting in inter-service screening; aiding in the identification of requirements for interim contractor support, contractor logistics support, and post-production support; developing maintenance activation planning and processes; ensuring provisions are made for survivability, corrosion control, nondestructive inspection, structural integrity, built-in test and performance monitoring, and hazardous materials in addressing environmental logistics impacts; and identifying, quantifying, and assessing the ILS/product support and sustainment elements.

·       Perform various tasks related to the planning, development, implementation, and management of a comprehensive, affordable, and effective systems support strategy.

·       Assist in producing or reviewing documents for program office use that support the breadth of acquisition and sustainment logistics efforts.

·       Support the program office during Materiel Solution Analysis, Technology Maturation and Risk Reduction, EMD, Production and Deployment, and Operations and Support phases, to include all milestone activities.
