This position serves as the Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) DAG Action Officer for the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) Cooperative Threat Reduction (CTR) Directorate. CTR supports U.S. national security by preventing the acquisition, proliferation, and use of WMD, related materials, technologies, and expertise. The cooperative nature of CTR's efforts contributes to stability, cooperation, and expanding U.S. influence in partner states and their regions.
The CTR DAG Action Officer works collaboratively with of a team of professionals who execute the routine business operations for the CT Front Office. The DAG Action Officer anticipates and acts in support of the CTR Director, Deputy Director, and Chief of Staff; and improves overall Front Office and Directorate efficiency. The DAG Action Officer also serves as a liaison between the CT Front Office and the CTR Departments.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides leadership and managerial support to the DAG team of Executive Assistants, Action Officers, Task Managers, and Technical WritersPossesses the ability to cover down on any of the DAG team members responsibilities as neededAssists with the duties and responsibilities of other DAG team members when workload is heavyConfidently assesses and actions incoming requests or actions within the DAG teamDrafts, proof-reads, edits, and provides final review of internal and external productsCoordinates appropriate deliverable review for accuracy and clarity prior to senior leadership reviewAssists with routing of internal or external deliverables until it reaches final destinationAnticipates the needs and requests of the CT Front Office leadership, whether it be scheduling a meeting, drafting an Information Paper, or ghost-writing an emailProvide routine DAG administrative support to include appointment scheduling, calendar management, and attending Director-level meetings as DAG representativeProvides strategic support the CTR Director and Deputy Director including but not limited to addressing the CTR mission and goals, as well as DTRA and DoD mission and goals as it relates to CTRReadily supports administrative and logistical support of conference room reservations and set up (i.e. desks and chairs, Webcast, dial-in)Actively takes notes and captures due-outs and action items in all meetingsContributes and engages in meetings to provide suggestions, solutions, assistance, advice, etc.Manages incoming actions to the CT Front Office and assists with their tasking, tracking, action, and eventual closureEnsures active response to daily action items within the DAG, CT Front Office, and as needed the DirectoratePossesses and utilizes knowledge and understanding of DoD, DTRA, and CTR issues, policies, directives, programs, and proceduresEnsures critical information is disseminated to internal and external stakeholdersMonitors progress on action items/tasks, generates metrics to demonstrate accountability for meeting deadlines, prepares monthly reports on action item/task status, and keeps leadership aware of late, pending, and new actionsActively participates in regularly scheduled Front Office coordination meetingsDevelops and delivers briefs to senior leadersEstablishes and maintains effective and positive working relationships with CTR Departments, CTR team members, and other external CTR stakeholders (i.e. OSD Policy, OSD TRAC, DTRA GC, DTRA LA, DTRA PAO, DTRA FDO)Ensures frequent file management of relevant SharePoint pages and libraries, and share locations with team membersEnsures frequent file management of relevant J: drive folders and files, and share locations with team membersTakes the initiative to provide solutions or tools possibly not yet considered to an issue/action item/task within the CT Front Office or CTR Directorate (Thinking outside the box)Offers solutions and develops and implements process improvements Provides surge support to the CT Front Office on high priority action items and deliverablesOther duties as specified by the customer Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree with 10+ years of related experienceDemonstrated ability to work in high visibility customer officeExperience with DoD or DTRA policies, procedures, regulations, organizational structure, and operating principlesExperience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePointStrong attention to detailExemplary writing and editing skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to handle a large number of actions and inquiries in response to internal and external stakeholdersAbility to work collaboratively with personnel from multiple functions and at all levels of the customer organization to deliver resultsStrong networking, interpersonal, customer service skills, team building and problem solving skills with an ability to be effective in a government/contractor team environmentSuperior judgment and tact in complex, sensitive, and/or contentious situationsExcellent Organizational skills; ability to plan, track and maintain due dates for multiple taskers and products central to program business processesActive Secret Clearance or ability to obtain a Secret Clearance Desired Qualifications Experience working with international partnersExperience in the CTR Program, DTRA, or similar CWMD related workFamiliarity with the DoD Manual for Written Material: Correspondence Management OverviewNoblis and our wholly owned subsidiaries, Noblis ESI, and Noblis MSD tackle the nation's toughest problems and apply advanced solutions to our clients' most critical missions. Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.
