The Joint, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Interagency Division provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning across the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, and international markets. JOID provides a diverse portfolio of analytical and programmatic capabilities to help our customers make informed decisions on their most challenging issues.
The DARPA Support Group within JOID provides critical decision support to enabling and executing a strategy of technological superiority and enabling the delivery and sustainment of secure, resilient, and preeminent capabilities to the warfighter quickly and cost effectively. Our team of experienced military, technical, and operations research analysts is skilled in evaluating military problems, identifying the driving factors, devising innovative approaches, collecting applicable data, developing necessary software tools, and performing thorough and timely assessments to inform technology and acquisition governance decisions to ensure U.S. military forces retain military superiority in the future.
We have a a near-term need for an Action Officer to provide onsite support out of Arlington, VA.
ResponsibilitiesThe candidate will provide direct support of the DARPA Strategic Technologies Office (STO) and will work closely with the Front Office team on a daily basis to ensure timely, proactive, and comprehensive administrative and programmatic support to Leadership. Will work with government leaders to track and coordinate logistics for short- and long-term projects and engagements, including working with Executive Assistants and other staff to manage daily schedules and coordinate internal and external briefings and support office-level initiatives. Travel may be required with government leaders to conferences and workshops -- assisting in preparing briefings for these trips and capturing follow-up items for action. Track status of projects, maintain a list of contacts for government leaders, and assist in the preparation of briefings for DARPA leaders, Congress, and other external stakeholders. Help improve STO operations and collaboration through the application of Microsoft 365 business applications. Develop user guides and instructions to help properly implement solutions and standardize usage across the Office. Additional responsibilities include providing quality control across Front Office taskers and supporting special projects.
