Action Sports Program Supervisor (Non-Exempt)

The Woodward Park City Action Sports Program Supervisor will be an essential member of Woodward Park City's Progression team, reporting to the Woodward Park City Progression Manager. The successful applicant will be responsible for all aspects of Woodward operations, safety, and services being met. This includes providing excellent customer service, exceeding our guests' expectations, and enhancing their action sports experience in an atmosphere of safety, fun, and learning. This position also assists in hiring trainers and develops staff to ensure the most progressive and cutting-edge coaching techniques are achieved. Finally, this position requires oversight of the Woodward Hub facility's equipment, features, parks, and cleanliness.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

Support Progression Manager in designing Woodward operations and ensuring an excellent experience for all guests. Plan, execute, coordinate, and communicate scheduling for zone, lesson, and program coaches. Ensure the safety of our guests and employees. Encourage, reward, assess, review, and provide feedback as appropriate. Address employee and customer complaints and provide resolution. Create an environment that inspires employees and guests to have fun and create lasting memories. Uphold the highest standard of professionalism as a member of the Woodward coaching staff. Communicate effectively and motivate guests of all ages and abilities. Actively promote all Woodward product offerings. Work closely with Progression Supervisor and Managers to develop a coaching model, training, and retention. Supervise coaches by planning, assigning, and directing work duties.   Open and close The Hub, including opening and closing registers. Identify and execute the repair and maintenance of features and equipment. Oversee, assign, and perform regular cleaning inside and outside The Hub. Uphold and promote company policies and procedures. Hire, train, and develop new staff and assist with outreach and onboarding. Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and learn new skills. Support operations as needed. 

Preferred Experience/Special Skills: 

A four-year college degree is preferred. 5+ years of experience teaching action sports, parkour, and trampoline. 5+ years of experience working with kids and teens. 3+ years of experience in a leadership role. CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications. Experience with point-of-sale software programs (RTP, RPOS, Aspenware). Sport-specific certification (PSIA-AASI/PMBIA/BICP/USAG/USASA, etc.), SafeSport certification, CDC Heads up concussion certification. Experience Teaching Skiers/Snowboarders is preferred. Proficiency in Snow Sports, Parkour, and Action Sports. Proven ability to collaborate well across functions and departments, work as part of a team, and lead teams in achieving goals.
