JOB SUMMARY:
The Activities Attendant position is an integral part of the camper's visit, providing an experience beyond all expectations by fostering enthusiasm, creativity, and fun. You will execute and support all aspects of organized activities, social events, and camper engagement. The goal is to ensure a high-level entertainment during each activity and, make sure staff and participants are engaged and participating in a responsible and safe manner. The Activities Attendant will be responsible for providing a fun and engaging camp environment for Woodward campers, staff and guests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBLITIES:
Encourage attendance and lead staff and campers through social events and activities.Create and manage activities, games, and challenges to enhance participant experiences.Maintain safety standards, communicate equipment needs, and assist with logs and reports.Other duties as assigned.PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
Ability to work independently and in teams in a fast-paced environment with moderate supervision.
Demonstrates initiative, responsibility, and strong attention to safety.Builds strong relationships with diverse groups and interacts comfortably with kids aged 7-17.Other duties as assigned.PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SPECIAL SKILLS:
1+ years of experience working with kids and/or teens, preferably in a camp environment.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.Ability to collaborate well across functions and work as part of a team.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
+/- 15 Campers (7-17 years old)
BASIC SCHEDULE/REQUIREMENTS:
Pre-hire criminal history clearances are collected from the Pennsylvania State Police (PATCH) system, child abuse clearances are obtained through the Department of Public Welfare, and federal history is taken through FBI fingerprint screening.
Must be physically capable of bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, standing, and lifting 50 lbs.Comfortable working in an outdoor all-season environment, with a preferred 3-week commitment during summer camp season.You make us Woodward.
