Responsibilities
Organize and lead social, cultural, sporting, community activities program, day trips and excursions appropriate to students’ needs and ageOrganize new student orientation, assist with registration of new students on arrival and organize new student arrival information packets - ‘Welcome Pack’Achieve departmental KPIs set by the managementManage finances to ensure activities remain within budget; manage activity stock and supplies.Prepare and maintain notice boards around the school with relevant information, posters and so on relating to social activitiesProduce weekly activities program and make this available to studentsPromote school events and excursions in school, on Facebook and on students’ app and ensure they are always current and updated regularlyManage and update the school’s Facebook fan page and other official social media daily, in a professional mannerEnsure that varied information is available to students for leisure time activities, such as tourist information for other destinations, what’s on guides, travel information and timetables.Administer the ordering and selling of EF merchandise and gadgetsResponsible for petty cash for the school and ensuring accurate records are kept of these expendituresMonitor stocks of student handbooks, binders, maps and student cardsMentor assigned mentees and organize monthly mentoring activitiesResponsible for the beauty check and the facilities of student lounge and rooftop areaTo assist the School Director when requiredShare school opening/closing roster and emergency on call duties with other school staffQualifications and competencies
Advanced language skills in Japanese & English essentialEnthusiastic, upbeat and natural leader with high energy and entrepreneurial spiritA flexible approach to work & hours of work undertaken is essential; evening and weekend work hours is requiredBusiness-minded with strong sense of customer serviceAble to remain calm under pressure & to diffuse potentially difficult situationsExcellent communicator both with students, colleagues, and external clientsAttention to detail, organized & thorough; goes above and beyond, never settling for status quoExperience working with international students is a plusMust currently be in Japan.
