We are currently seeking an Activities Assistant to ensure each residents’ social, emotional and developmental needs are met through a variety of activities.
Provide recreational activities for residents under leadership of a Recreational Therapist. Assist with planning, prepping, and leading 1:1 activities, group activities, and community life activities. Assist residents with ADL care, as necessary in accordance with care plan.

Responsibilities
Day-to-Day tasks include, but are not limited to:
Ensure activities are prepared for the dayFacilitate group and individual activities per the monthly Activities CalendarAssist residents in their daily care, as neededDocument activity participation and goals’ progressAccompany residents on community outingsQualifications Graduate of an accredited high school or GEDMust be 21 years or olderArtistic background or previous instruction from a certified activity consultantAbility to lead group programsPrevious experience working in an activities department in long term care or hospital setting This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.
