JOB DESCRIPTIONS
The Milliman Shanghai office provides consulting services to a broad array of clients in the Health and Property & Casualty fields. We are looking for a junior-level actuarial analyst. This position provides excellent opportunities for professional development and advancement.
This position is open not only to candidates with an actuarial degree, but also to those with a degree with a high quantitative and analytical content (e.g. mathematics, statistics, operational research, risk management, engineering, etc).
We provide extensive on-the-job training in consulting skills and advanced actuarial techniques.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Development of new products and premium rates as well as risk profile analysis Due diligence and appraisal value for mergers and acquisitions Reserving, C-ROSS related assignments including minimum capital requirement and stress testing, and asset-liability management related assignments Project management and client communication
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
2-3 years’ actuarial experience in Health insurance industry, with bachelor’s degree or above in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or related field Familiar with China’s regulations related to health product filing, reserving, solvency, and/or asset-liability management, and have related working experience Proficiency with spreadsheets and database applications R, SQL, SAS knowledge a plus Proficiency in English and Mandarin Strong quantitative and analytical skills Strong communication (written and oral), and organizational skills Client-focused, results-driven, and detail-oriented Strong time management skills Self-motivated and creative problem solver
