Purpose:

The Reinsurance Pricing team oversees all technical aspects of reinsurance transactions – across both new business pricing/underwriting/execution and in-force management. The team is highly visible in the wider Apollo/Athene organization and is playing a key role in the Apollo/Athene Asia-Pacific expansion strategy.

We are seeking a pricing professional to support the pricing, underwriting and structuring for potential asset intensive reinsurance transactions. The successful candidate will provide support across new business pricing and in force transaction management. This role will collaborate across teams in multiple geographies to support the execution, onboarding and ongoing management of reinsurance transactions. This role will also be responsible for ongoing model development and pricing framework enhancement.

Accountabilities:

Develop pricing models for potential flow reinsurance transactionsProduce analyses of the profitability and risk profile of deals and recommending appropriate solutionsSupport the onboarding of business into management and financial reporting areasDevelop, maintain, and enhance pricing tools and modelsCheck and review work produced within the teamPresent and communicate pricing results to management


Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, actuarial science, or related fieldAssociate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) or higher (and actively pursuing FSA), or equivalent qualification of other Actuarial professional organization5+ years’ actuarial experience including exposure to long term (re)insurance productsExperience with fixed rate and indexed annuities strongly preferredExperience with actuarial projection and valuation softwareAbility to interact with internal senior management and client company managementExperienced user of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerpointExcellent oral and written English language skillsAbility to effectively participate in, and help foster, a team-based work environmentAn ability to set and manage priorities in a changing work environment is essential
