Summer Actuarial Internship Program The Actuarial Internship Program (AIP) is intended to provide summer interns with valuable work experience through exposure to actuarial functions within MetLife. Interns will work directly with experienced actuaries in different areas of actuarial practice which may include pricing and product development, reserve calculations, actuarial modeling, financial analysis, asset liability management, and investments. Interns will contribute to a wide variety of exciting and interesting projects, as well as present to managers in the organization at the end of their internship. Summer Internship Program Highlights: * Ten-week internship * Application of mathematical and computer techniques to solve insurance and business problems * Attendance at presentations led by experts on key actuarial topics * Social activities and networking events * Possibility of full-time employment after graduation * Visa/Immigration Sponsorship is not available for this role Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills: * Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program with an accredited college or university * Preferred major includes actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or other analytical/business-related major * Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher * Successful completion of one or more Society of Actuaries exams is preferred * Strong mathematical and analytical skills * Strong computer/technical skills (knowledge of programming languages preferred) * Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills Equal Employment Opportunity/Disability/Veterans If you need an accommodation due to a disability, please email us at accommodations@metlife.com.
