What you’ll do
Build best-in-class rate indication models for a $4B Personal Insurance business. Identify emerging trends, research methodologies, and develop solutions for new technical challenges.
Train and coach junior staff on technical aspects of the actuarial models as well as best practices around process management
Prepare and present impactful presentations for senior leaders. Summarize key assumptions and modeling choices in plain language and with effective use of visuals.
Improve tools and process by leveraging new technology and a deep understanding of the actuarial methodology
Effectively manage special projects, overseeing technical design, scope, timelines, and communications
Collaborate with Street Pricing, Reserving and Finance to determine shared assumptions and improve the Technical Pricing models.

What you’ll bring
Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, Math or Statistics or other related subjects
Minimum of 6 CAS exams / ACAS for Team Lead/Manager
Minimum 4 years/6 years of P&C work experience for Team Lead/Manager
Strong leadership skills and the ability to coach and mentor junior actuaries
Curiosity and passion for improving on status quo
Ability to communicate complex concepts in a simple manner
Ability to lead projects and manage timetables and stakeholders
Proficiency in Python, R, and/or SAS. Knowledge of VBA is an asset.
What you’ll get:
The salary band for this position ranges from $86,900.00 to $161,500.00. Please note that individual salary is determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as internal equity.
