Reporting Actuary will be key to the successful delivery of ALPI’s actuarial reporting and the implementation of continued improvements in the reporting area. The ideal candidate will be an experienced reporting actuary, with good knowledge of ‘best in class’ reporting, strong technical skills including knowledge of Solvency II and/or IFRS 17, experience of leading and driving outcomes, meeting demanding deadlines and team leadership.
What will you be doing?
Delivery of specified aspects of ALPI’s actuarial reporting to a high standard and in a timely manner
Providing leadership to relevant members of the reporting team
Driving improvements in the reporting process, outputs and communications
Contributing expert input to ALPI’s finance transformation programme
Ensuring appropriate controls are in place and operated in respect of the relevant areas of actuarial reporting
Support the management of audit relationships and processes to ensure a clean and timely sign-off.
Collaborating closely with key stakeholders, including other Actuarial Reporting teams, UK Actuarial, Finance, Aviva UK, and Aviva Group, to ensure alignment and effective communication.
What we're looking for?
Experienced reporting actuary with at least 3 years of professional experience in Life Insurance companies
Knowledge of Solvency II, particularly understanding of solvency II balance sheet and own funds, profit and loss account and technical provision Or Knowledge of IFRS17 metrics, including understanding of CSM, risk adjustment, fulfillment cashflows
Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - ability to establish and maintain good working collaborations with various departments.
Good English language skills (working with English-speaking clients plus creating documentation in English)
Strong team player who is also able to work independently.
