The opportunity
Actuarial Supervisor will support Local reporting for company’s life and plans business including group and acquired blocks, support for Capital Remittance Plan, as well as conduct reinsurance administration for some reinsurance treaties maintained by the company. In addition, he/she will also be supporting adhoc requests related to the company’s Experience Studies function. He/she will work closely with internal parties such as Finance, Products, Investments, Marketing, Operations and Regional, as well as external counterparts such as reinsurers, auditors, and the Insurance Commission.
Responsibilities
Local Reporting
Support monthly/quarterly Local valuation reporting for the life and plans business, as well as group and several acquired blocks of businesses by the company; submission of quarterly/annual reports to regulatorSupport Experience Studies initiatives through deep-dives and data analysis related to company assumptionsSupport on annual audit of local reportsCapital and Remittance Plan
Support for Capital Remittance forecast and analysis. Work with Regional Office and local teams to ensure correct and consistent application of the new reporting standards to MP’s suite of products, including acquired blocks of business.Support for Local Capital reporting and Early warning test to ensure that Manulife and its subsidiaries maintain a healthy RBC ratioSupport for DCAT/FCT reportingReinsurance Treaty Administration
Coordinate with reinsurers and local teams to ensure correct reporting of statement of accounts and settlementsEnsure new treaties implemented in the admin system
