Full-time APP needed for inpatient neurosurgery service at Inova Loudoun Hospital. APP will be responsible for all aspects of the service, to include daily rounds and progress notes, ER and inpatient consults, admissions and discharges, ordering and interpreting labs and radiologic studies, fielding phone calls from beside nurses, multidisciplinary care coordination, and patient education. You may also perform procedures within scope of practice and Inova Health System credentialing and privileges to include EVD and ICP monitor placement. Some opportunity exists for first-assisting in the OR, as service needs permit or require. The APP will work directly with the neurosurgeons.
APPs provide 24/7 neurosurgery coverage at Inova Loudoun Hospital. Full-time requires 156 shifts per year (3, 12-hour days per week) with rotational days/nights/weekends/holidays. APP with prior neurosurgery experience preferred.
