**Responsibilities** 0.6FTE Acute Care Surgeon position is responsible for the management of acute, non-trauma general surgical consults from the ED and inpatient setting at St. Anthony Hospital in Gig Harbor, WA. St. Anthony Hospital is a level 4 trauma center with all major traumas diverted to nearby level 1 or 2 centers in the Seattle/Tacoma area. + 26 weeks a year + 13 weeks of 7 days and nights + and 13 weeks mon - friday 7 am - 5pm + weekends, nights, vacation to be shared + On Call is set at 1:4 or less Any additional days worked beyond the required shifts are paid at an additional rate. **Qualifications** + Board Certification (ABS) + At least 2 years of experience is preferred, but not required. + Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of WA. + Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority. + Interest and ability to work with medical students and residents. **Overview** Virginia Mason Franciscan Health has a rich history of providing exceptional healthcare, dating back to 1891.
