AD, Head of GFE ( Global Facility Engineering) Duluth

**Description**
Lead and direct the GFE (Global facility and Engineering) organization and the associated services on the Duluth site. Ensure customer focused, cost-effective and compliant services and manage site Infrastructure, EHS and Security services; including organization/coordination of GFE aspects of off-site meetings organized by/from the Duluth site. The Head of GFE Duluth will also serve as primary GFE business partner and escalation point for the Animal Health employees based in Duluth, including field-based employees. **Duties & Responsibilities**
+ Facility Management and General Services:
+ Provide effective management and operation of buildings, streets, carparks and other outdoor assets by balancing of safety, costs, environment, quality and compliance and sustainability as well as General Services (e.g. Catering, Gardening, Cleaning...)
+ Manage daily operations of outsourced provider for Infrastructure services
+ Engineering Oversight:
+ Manage CAPEX for the site, providing leadership and guidance on the prioritization, aligning process and steering implementation of investments within time, budget and project scope.
+ Direct maintenance activities to ensure all site assets are kept in a safe and compliant state of operation.
+ EHS:
+ Develop programs and processes to foster the adherence of the respective AFR-targets. Foster behavior based Safety and implementation of Safety-related leading indicators (e.g. near miss reporting, safety walkthroughs)
+ Foster sustainable use of energy and implementation of energy reduction measures.
+ Accountability for EHS related compliance with respect to legal, authority and BI requirements as well as local Security.
+ Support prevention programs, e.g. ergonomics, healthy life style etc.
+ Space Planning:
+ Accountability for space management processes to ensure sufficient, appropriate and future demands.
+ Manage moves of employees and ensure adequate working environments including meeting spaces.
+ Security & Crisis Management:
+ Ensure risk-based Security and Crisis Management plans and concepts are established and managed at the site level
+ Manage outsourced Security provider and direct daily site operations.
+ Manage incidents and crisis in accordance with Crisis Management Plan and Process.
+ Support site events by ensuring adequate level of Security.
**Requirements**
+ Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Engineering or Life Sciences or equivalent
+ Three or more (3+) years of experience in managing global facility engineering related services
+ Demonstrated experience leading teams
+ Strong leadership, planning, organization, communication (oral & written), interpersonal, motivation, conflict management and decision-making skills
+ Deep business and interpreneurial thinking, ability to work in cross-functional environment, emotional intelligence.
+ Requires basic understanding of EHS and Security topics for an administrative office site.
+ Requires the ability to manage external providers and aligning their services to the local business needs while striving for continuous improvement.
+ BI Leadership Competencies: Set direction, Lead innovation, Lead and manage change, lead people and deliver results.
