Proclinical is seeking an Associate Director Market Access - International to develop and lead the execution of Market Access Strategies across various countries. The primary responsibility is to establish and maintain patient access to products. This role involves close collaboration with global, regional, and local stakeholders to ensure successful pricing and reimbursement processes. The successful candidate will have a focus on Europe, particularly France and Italy.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement regional and country-specific pricing and access strategies.Understand payer needs, decision-making approaches, and reimbursement stakeholders at the country level.Lead local pricing and reimbursement processes in collaboration with country General Managers.Ensure timely submission and follow-up of pricing and reimbursement submissions.Organize internal expert committees for market access strategies and health economic models.Perform evidence synthesis activities to meet local payer needs and support product positioning.Identify and drive additional evidence needs through real-world evidence generation.Provide input on clinical study designs to address local payer requirements.Support broader market access goals, including pricing targets, revenue targets, and product launch success.Monitor external health technology assessment (HTA) developments and provide input to internal teams.Establish relationships with public health authorities and support corporate visits and events.Ensure alignment of local and regional Market Access Plans with company goals.Maintain stakeholder mapping and management tools to gain local insights and influence policy changes.Collaborate with critical functional areas and affiliates to drive aligned actions for public policy and access.
Key Skills and Requirements:
University degree, MBA, or PhD in science and/or economics preferred.Experience in biotech/pharmaceutical/consulting in a reimbursement/market access role.Experience with regional launch of innovative therapies; oncology or rare disease experience is a plus.Hands-on experience with country pricing negotiations and knowledge of European payer dynamics.Knowledge in market access domains (pricing, HEOR, policy, local market execution).Success in managing multiple activities and working in a fast-paced environment.Ability to see the bigger picture in market access and work across domains.Ability to manage ambiguity, frequent change, and senior-level engagements.Ability to work across cultures, languages, and geographies with willingness to travel frequently.
