What you will be doing? We are seeking a qualified, compassionate, and experienced Addiction Medicine Physician (MD/DO) to join our team in West Kill, New York, specializing in detoxification and substance use disorder treatment. This is a per diem position with on-call responsibilities. The ideal candidate must be familiar with New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) regulations and have at least 2 years of experience in the field of detoxification and substance use treatment. What tasks are required? + Provide medical care and treatment for patients with substance use disorders, including the management of detoxification, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), and other addiction-related care. + Perform comprehensive assessments and evaluations to determine appropriate treatment plans for patients. + Monitor and manage withdrawal symptoms, ensuring patient safety and comfort. + Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including therapists, nurses, and counselors, to provide holistic care and support. + Ensure compliance with OASAS regulations and New York State laws in all aspects of patient care. + Serve as an on-call physician for emergency situations and treatment needs. + Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with regulatory requirements. + Provide education to patients and their families regarding addiction treatment, recovery resources, and aftercare. What we need from you? + Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) licensed in the State of New York. + Minimum of 2 years of experience in detoxification and substance use treatment. + Strong knowledge of New York State OASAS regulations and addiction treatment protocols. + Certification in Addiction Medicine (preferred). + Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. + Excellent communication, interpersonal, and clinical skills. + Flexibility to work per diem and provide on-call coverage as needed.
